Five for Friday

Five for Friday.

Ahhh Friday.... was this week not the longest EVER!?!? It was parent conference week for me and that just requires so much talking. Don't get me wrong...I like talking.

In fact, I like it a lot...but this week is just so exhausting.

So for now I am happy to be typing and not talking. Thank you Doodle Bugs for this always fun linky.

#1...first up this week...I am so proud to be part of a new collaborative blog called Primary Powers! This fun super hero themed blog is a very exciting endeavor for all of us.  Here is my little "Meet the Hero"
I will say that I think my face looks a little stretched out. I mean, maybe I do look like that in real life, but I don't think so. I wish I looked the super hero me because  I love the high ponytail, but it just never looks okay in real life.

To celebrate we are kicking off with a giveaway on the blog AND an exclusive bundle with Educents. Yes, we have each contributed a unit to this bundle. On their own these items would be $100.75, but it is only $29.99! Check it out here:

#2.... I shared  earlier this week about a fun project called the Triangle Witch and although we did the art portion early in the week, just today I finished up the stories. I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking dictation and think that is an important part to becoming a developing writer.

Check this out:

And I would like to share what I think may have happened above......

I am just speculating...but I am guessing this sweet child saw her own drawing of the moon and since perhaps this is one of our first labeling lessons and because it is October of Kinder that maybe she now thinks she drew a banana.

But it is stories like this that make me love my job. To download the labels I used {for free} and learn more about this project click HERE.

#3.... I got home to have some fun mail today....and if Friday wasn't good enough this just made my day!!

This is a gift from one of my fellow Jamberry consultants as a little present.

I am addicted to the Jamberry wraps, but I have only used the polish a few times....I need more fingers and toes! How can I use polish when I just want wraps on every finger? But I am so so thrilled to have this set!

I think this polish set may be a popular present I give this year for the holidays.

Speaking of which...if you are looking for some extra spending cash you may want to chat with me about joining my team. I am obsessed and in love with the whole Jamberry thing and I think you may too if you were to give it a shot. And who doesn't need more money this time of year?

Click HERE or email me at christyann@gmail.com..... and if you aren't interested in selling, but want to to try Jamberry you can email me for a free sample!

#4 I am trying to decide what to be for Halloween. I am talking about at school... long gone are the days of dressing up for my personal life where I may have some big party to go to... oh no. But our school takes Halloween very seriously. Here is my wonderful aide last year as Pete the Cat.
Yes, I just screen shot an old Instrgram picture....."Year-ago-gram"

Whatever...you get the idea and THIS POST will show you some other great costume ideas from my coworkers. Great for you all to use....but I got to come up with something that hasn't been done at my school before.

Stressful and fun all wrapped into one.

#5... My latest Fall Pattern Block set is on sale for $4.00 this weekend only. While you are there please be sure to follow Crayons and Whimsy on Teachers Pay Teachers :)

Have a grand weekend my friends!! Hop on over to Doodle Bugs Teaching to see what everyone else is up to!

  1. I love that you are able to dress up for Halloween! I teach at a private school, so we don't even celebrate Halloween. Some parents are strictly against it, so we aren't really allowed to celebrate. Instead, we have a fall party. :) Can't wait to see what you come up with this year for a costume!

  3. There is a 30 great costumes for teachers link going around on Facebook. My favorite one was Camilla cream. Let me know if you can't find it. I'll find a way to get it to you. Conference week is always sooo stressful. In my case we had translators for a majority of our conferences. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Thanks for popping over to my blog. I'm just getting started so I always appreciate comments and new visitors.
