Well, regardless... we are making our December calendars today!
Last month I had shared the November calendar {here} and I wanted to do that again for you!
Here's what we are doing:
Now one thing that bugs me is when people tell me they got an idea from Pinterest, but don't reference WHO the idea came from. I mean, Pinterest isn't a person. And yet...here I am about to annoy myself. I have seen this adorable tree all over Pinterest and I can't tell you who is the owner of this perfect kindergarten-friendly tree!
I was lucky to have a parent in my class chop up a bunch of scrap book paper for us- but plain old construction paper would work too!
Below I have provided the calendar part of the page for 2013 and 2014 {plus the words December and the year are provided}
Here is 2013:
and a little 2014 action:
Speaking of December.. I missed the Currently yesterday... Thank you to Farley for this monthly adventure of fun!
But I am here today!
Listening: YES! I am insane and adding a class play to my to-do list this month. It is called Bob Humbug the Christmas Grump and I will share more about that in a future post. Right now I am finishing up the final casting and just playing through the songs one last time.
Loving: So if you follow me on Facebook then you know I wasn't sure about getting a laminator for home. I can laminate at school for free...so why pay? That has been my opinion all along.... but me oh my! I am so happy with this thing....
Right now I am laminating my new little emergent reader Five Little Elves
Which sidenote: Don't forget about the sale going on at TpT right now...which includes my little store.
Thinking: I probably should start my report cards... should is the key word there. Want to know when I will start? Probably about 48 hours before all 29 of them are due. Why do I do that to myself... I don't know... but I know it will happen {sigh!}
Wanting: I am SOOOO excited to be part of this giveaway... but here's the catch... EVERYONE wins! YES every single person can win. All you have to do is collect all the secret words and you will win a whole BUNCH of fabulous products!
There are 3 packs you can win. I am part of Pack A.. You can WIN ALL of that you see below {and that's just pack A!} All you have to do is follow all the directions... no good luck needed!
Just click HERE to go to I'm Lovin Lit to get started!
OR click HERE to go to my page which is stop #6.
For my part...you need to follow this blog by clicking the blue "Join this site" button on the right. And don't forget to follow me on TpT too!

Needing: I need to get going on that Christmas shopping. Was I in Kohl's at 1:00am on Black Friday?... Oh yes I was.... did I Christmas shop... no!
I selfishly bought a few things for me and really just took in the whole scene. I didn't really want to support the stores being open on Thanksgiving and in the middle of the night because I feel for those poor workers.... but my mom, my husband and I just couldn't help it...we had to just take in the the whole craziness!
Christmas Tradition: I don't think this will impress or entertain anyone... but I like singing Christmas Carols with my family at the holidays. It isn't too exciting, but it is special and that makes it perfect!
Thank you for reading! Bring on December people.... here we go!!
I am such a laminator fanatic! I've heard good things about the Scotch brand. How do you like it? I can't wait to read more about the Bob Humbug play you mentioned. My kids would love it.
ReplyDeleteSo far I am in love with the Scotch brand! I will post more about the play...thank you for the comment!

Love your calendars! I'm obsessed with my Scotch laminator, too! I bought it in college and have been in love ever since. It's so easy to use, and the laminating sheets are more durable than the typical school ones. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteChristmas Shopping has been breaking my bank lately. I am sure it will only get worse. I love your tradition. It sounds like something that my Mister would enjoy doing. I hope you blog about the play your kids are doing as well as pictures. I would love to see them!
