If this is your first time here at my blog then WELCOME and HELLO! Don't want to scream that 'atcha... but I can't help it... I'm excited you are here!

I am in my 15th year of teaching.... which means I must have started when I was 11 years old...wink, wink... or maybe I like to pretend I am 26!

Either way... I've taught many a grades {to be exact K, 1st, 4th and 5th..and a few were combos} but right now I am in kinder...and I just LOVE it! {There I go again with all caps!}

And this blog is my way to share my excitement for teaching and learning new things.

Let's get to the good stuff...

what do you get...well in Pack A you will get ALL of what you see below:

My contribution is an emergent reader called, "What's in Santa's Sack."

Let me explain how this little reader works! First off, I put a bunch of items {all provided for you} into some type of sack. And let me mention- they are on heavy card stock {because there will be some tracing action soon!}

This "Santa Suit Sack/Tote" is from the Target Dollar Spot. Another option is just a good old fashioned lunch bag... in other words...anything can work!

I'm sorry about that annoying white tag... I want to reach in the picture and tear it out! How did that not bug me when I took the pics?

Anyway... back to our little book:

The little ones pull out an item and announce, "This is a ____" Then I have them trace this in their books. This tracing is a bit tricky for them, but excellent fine motor practice.
And finally they will need to copy the word from the item into the book. My little ones need to practice transferring words from other places on to their own paper.

If you are not needing any fine motor review, then you can use a different version of the book...either one with the items already in place for you or maybe have them cut and glue. All of these ideas are explained in the pack.

Last up, a peak at the preview pages:

And before you go....make sure you take advantage of the Teachers Pay Teachers Cyber Sale going on!!

One fun item I have on is Pattern Block Zoo Animals. I thought I would share this one since we have been chatting about fine motor skills in today's post.

This is good for those early finishers... or as a math center.

Oh boy that was a lot from me.... whoa! Now go grab all those secret words!
